10 steps to prevent your child from being a troubled teen

The decalogue was created by Emilio Calatayud, juvenile judge, for all parents. Here we show you the ten key points that can make a child a miserable teenager.

A 'spoiled' child can grow up to be a troublesome teenager or adult. And the blame will surely lie with the parents. It is just as important to set limits and rules as to be very clear about what does not do the child any good, no matter how hard it may seem to us.

The Spanish juvenile judge, Emilio Calatayud, has drawn up a decalogue on the rudeness that some parents exercise (sometimes without realizing it) with their children. The ten key points that can make a child a miserable teenager.

10 things to avoid so that your child is not a troublesome teenager

1. Give him everything he wants, so he will grow up convinced that the whole world owes him everything.

2. Laugh at all his profanity, nonsense and outbursts: this way he will grow up convinced that he is very funny and he will not understand when he is called to attention at school for the same facts.

3. Pick up everything you leave lying around: this way you will grow up thinking that the whole world is at your service; his mother the first.

4. Never tell him that what he does is wrong: he could acquire guilt complexes and live frustrated. First you will believe that they have a mania for you and later you will be convinced that it is society's fault.

5. May all your desires be instantly satisfied: eat, drink, have fun,… Otherwise you could end up being frustrated!

6. Let him see and read everything: clean the dishes he eats with with detergent, which disinfects, but let his spirit be recreated with any filth. Soon he will stop having straight judgment.

7. Father and mother, argue in front of him, so he will get used to it. And when the family is already destroyed, he will find it perfectly normal, he won't even notice.

8. Give him all the money he wants: this way he will grow up thinking that to have money you don't have to work, just ask.

9. Do not give him any spiritual formation: he will choose it when he is older!

10. Always agree with him: it's the teachers, the people, the laws... who have it in for him.
